Re: application as Engineering Director, Electrical Product Group Dear TE Connectivity recruitment team, I'd like to bring my profile to your attention as your next Engineering Director, Electrical Product Group. Dynamic and innovative, my career was enriched by assignments in 3 continents and the opportunity to lead diverse, multi-disciplinary, multi-site teams. Through my 18 years, I progressed over both the managerial and technical ladders, garnering team and Budget responsibilities while contributing technically. Strong of experience in engineering, manufacturing and operations management, I currently head the manufacturing and technical support of electromechanics, trade-regulated, equipment used in harsh environment (surface, downhole, marine). I am well-versed in defining technology strategy, converting it into implementation plan and deriving KPI to guide the team through its execution; a skill I used to champion the roll-out disruptive technologies (automation, ALM, industry 4.0) and major enterprise changes such as migration of core Product Lifecycle Management business system and new factory setup. I garnered a broad experience in product lifecycle from engineering (development of new products: mechanics, electronics, software) to industrialization & validation (Design-For-Manufacturing, environmental qualification, quality planning) and manufacturing continuous improvement (80% productivity gain on sensor assembly from Lean / Six Sigma). Recognized Principal Engineer (top 0.2% technical contributors), I retained and developed a broad technical acumen, including material science. A knowledge I acquired hands-on in my junior years performing root-cause-analysis and operating laboratory equipment (sample preparation, SEM-EDS, FTIR, DMA,…). LeanSS-certified, I have an extensive track record in industrialization, process improvement and quality/cost optimization for both internal and external manufacturing. Through product development, I acquired a broad knowledge of connectivity technologies: solder, crimp, mated contact, IDC, feedthrough, leaf-spring, spring-loaded pins, backplane, … for signal, data and power (along with SMFO/MMFO interconnect). This will be a clear stepping-stone for me in this new role. Furthermore, my profile combining both engineering and manufacturing will empower me to identify the most promising R&D NPI strategy along with improving the existing portfolio’s cost and quality; my business acumen and experience managing complex P&L will ensure we remain on Budget. Finally, my drive to collaborate and nurture team growth will further foster the growth of the Product Group. I am convinced I would make significant contribution to TE and look forward to the opportunity to discuss further my profile and your opening. Through my 18 years, I progressed over both the managerial and technical ladders, garnering team and P&L responsibilities while contributing technically. Strong of experience in engineering, manufacturing and operations management, I currently head the manufacturing of electromechanics equipment, both internally and at co-manufacturers. I lead a team of 100 employees from 8 ethnicities, with a close to 50% gender balance, and manage all operational aspects (Production, Finance, HR, HSE, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Technical) to ensure delivery on cost, on time and on quality. My operations experience allows me to identify core , long-term goals to secure cost, delivery and quality; while my technical acumen allows me to confidently dive into process improvement reviews with Tier-1 and strategic Tier-2 co-manufacturers. Lean-certified, I have an extensive track record in industrialization, process improvement and cost optimization for both internal and external manufacturing. I led several Make-Buy analyses to identify the best production scheme based not only on cost but also leveraging scale, flexibility and footprint base. I championed Lean SPC initiatives related to SMT electronics production, root-cause-analysis linked to plastic injection molding and introduction of semi-automated production line at CM.
